Last week, Cameron Brannagan invited a young Oxford United fan and his family to the Training Ground for a special visit.
Earlier in this season, nine-year-old United super-fan Kyle was diagnosed with Stevens-Johnson syndrome, an illness which completely changed both his and his family’s life.
Kyle had the honour of being a mascot for a game at the start of the season, where he met his hero Cameron Brannagan, but as he battled illness in the hospital bed the young man was unable to come and watch his team play.
To help him through this difficult time, Cameron and Simon Eastwood visited Kyle at the hospital to try and offer some vital support and help him through his recovery.
Incredibly, Kyle has fought against the syndrome and is now back at our home ground cheering on the yellows, but Cameron had one final surprise in store.
Watch as the midfielder invited Kyle and his family into the training ground for a special visit full of surprises, as we hear from his mother about the club’s support through a traumatic period.
