“We’re incredibly excited to bring Oxford Stomp to Prince’s Island Park for the very first time,” said communications director Sarah Geddes of 51 North Productions. “Combining the renowned event with Calgary’s favourite outdoor music festival site will see the Oxford Stomp return to its previous large-scale format and create an unparalleled concert experience for Calgary.”

The event is set for July 12, featuring co-headliners George Thorogood and Tom Cochrane. Joining them will be Serena Ryder and alt-rock band Uncle Strut.
“We are looking forward to celebrating the 34th annual year of the Oxford Stomp with an amazing new venue and lineup,” said Dave Routledge, vice-president and head of Oxford Properties’ western Canadian office. “We are proud that this year’s event will once again support the Calgary Food Bank, especially at a time when the impact of inflation and food insecurity remains such a relevant issue.”
Apart from title sponsor Oxford Properties, other corporate backers of the event are GDI Integrated Facility Services, Ainsworth, BLG, Phillips Brewing, Twisted Tea, Concorde Catering and Rain or Shine.
Last year’s Oxford Stomp took place in a more intimate venue, the Wildhorse Saloon, featuring the Sam Roberts Band, Alan Doyle and the Strumbellas.
51 North Productions recently announced the return of the Roundup Music Fest, also moving to Prince’s Island Park this year, featuring the Goo Goo Dolls.
