Inditex-owned brand Bershka has reopened its refurbished 13,400 sq ft flagship store at 221-223 Oxford Street in London.

Set over three floors, the refreshed store, which it describes as its “most important flagship store” in the UK, is housing its Bershka, Man and Bsk collections.

The store concept, designed by the Barcelona-based Castel Estudio and the brand’s in-house design team, has “looked to integrate the store’s brutalist architecture” and its industrial concrete beams and pillars.

The store’s design prioritises the product lines and their colourful nature, with a limited use of materials in neutral tones, giving prominence to the clothes.

The store’s lighting has been designed specifically for the flagship, based on small LED projectors which disappear. They “help to create a space where the customer’s shopping experience takes centre stage”.

There is also an artistic installation based on LED screens on the store’s façade, featuring the work of American visual artist Ezra Miller, which connects two floors of the store, “offering a spectacular invitation to visit the space”.
