Fellow former club Sheffield United confirmed the tragic news

Tributes are pouring in for former Oxford and Sheffield United defender George Baldock – who’s been found dead at his home in Greece at the age of 31 – according to multiple reports.

Oxford United have released a statement online:

The defender left Bramall Lane in the summer following seven years at the club.

Baldock also played for Milton Keynes Dons, and Northampton Town before he joined Panathinaikos this summer.
