OXFORD, Miss. – Year two of the Chris Beard era at Ole Miss begins this fall and the men’s basketball team has announced their non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Among their potential opponents are six 20-win teams from last year, including five of which played in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
The Rebels will open up with a trio of home games in Oxford, facing LIU Brooklyn on Monday, Nov. 4, Grambling State on Friday, Nov. 8, and South Alabama on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
For the second year in a row, the Rebels will play a Throwback Game in the Tad Pad as their Nov. 12 game against the Jaguars will be played in the old arena. Details for the game, including ticket information, will be released at a later date.
For the first time in 10 years, Ole Miss will play in Southaven, Mississippi when they face Colorado State there on Saturday, November 16. The team will then return to Oxford to host Oral Roberts on Thursday, November 21.
On Thanksgiving Day, Ole Miss will travel to San Diego for the 2024 Rady Children’s Invitational Tournament, where they’ll be among an elite pool of programs. The Rebels will play two opponents yet to be determined on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 among 2024 NCAA Tournament teams Purdue, NC State, and BYU.
Ole Miss remains on the road the following week, traveling back east to play at Louisville in the SEC/ACC Challenge on Tuesday, December 3.
They return to the Mississippi area for the remainder of December hosting Lindenwood on Saturday, December 7 in the SJB Pavilion, before traveling south to Biloxi, Miss. to take on Southern Miss Saturday, December 14. They’ll take on Queens in Oxford on Saturday, December 21, before making the short trip up to Memphis to face the Tigers on Saturday, December 28 in the FedExForum.
Ticket details for the games played in Southaven and Biloxi, as well as tipoff times and TV designations, will be announced at a later date.
