Former Sheffield Wednesday man Will Vaulks has been poor since his summer departure from S6.
Sheffield Wednesday continued their brilliant form away from home as they saw off Portsmouth 2-1.
Owls striker Michael Smith rocketed Danny Rohl’s side into the lead in the second half after a brilliant strike that evaded the Portsmouth goalkeeper, and the attacker will likely have implemented his place in the side after his impeccable showing.
Sheffield Wednesday summer signing Yan Valery also put in an effective second half performance that helped turn around the game after the interval, where the Owls found themselves down by one-goal at Fratton Park.
The business to bring in Valery has certainly proved to be worthwhile alongside some other hits and misses in regards to summer business, and based on recent games away from S6, the decision to move on Will Vaulks in the summer has proven to be another solid piece of business.

Ruthless Danny Rohl actions this summer have proven to be worthwhile
There were many players moved on this summer that certainly took Sheffield Wednesday fans by surprise, including Bailey Cadamarteri, who is unsurprisingly showing his qualities whilst out on loan in League One.
The Owls also parted with Vaulks in surprising fashion after he played an important role in the back end of the 2023/24 and the clinching of survival in the Championship, but it now looks like the business to do this has more than paid off.
