Baxi has supported pupils from an Oxfordshire school, Pegasus Primary, giving them the chance to join the Oxford United Men’s team 2024/25 squad photo.

Des Buckingham and the entire Men’s Team squad, along with the Sky Bet League One Play-Off Final trophy, surprised the group of year 5 children with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join this season’s official team picture.

Tim Williams, Oxford United’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “We have a responsibility to positively influence the lives of our fans and the wider community beyond a matchday, and events such as today are a great way of bringing to life the values that sit at the very heart of this Club. Not only did the children at Pegasus Primary have a truly memorable day, the players, coaches and staff loved being part of something so special.”

The children, who arrived at the Training Centre courtesy of transport provided by Oxford Bus Company, were also presented with gifts from the Club and Baxi and had the chance to test their skills in a session delivered by Oxford United in the Community, before the players signed autographs and answered questions.

With sold-out home crowds and a huge buzz around the city of Oxford following promotion to the Championship, the day was a fantastic platform to inspire the next generation of Oxford United fans.

Positively impacting the lives of those we connect with is a central pillar of the collaboration between the Club and new Principal Partner, Baxi. This photo opportunity was just one of many community and engagement events planned throughout the season, in what was a truly unforgettable day for all involved.

Paul Haynes, Product & Solutions Director at Baxi, added: “Very early in our discussions with Oxford United, it became clear that both our organisations share the same aspirations in terms of sustainable development through community outreach activities. It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm of the children at Pegasus Primary School and we look forward to carrying out more events with the Club in the months ahead.”
