Midfielder seeking elusive away win against high-flying Hornets

While United have enjoyed a strong start at home in Sky Bet Championship, with four wins and three draws from eight games, they are one of five teams in the division yet to record an away victory.

The Hornets meanwhile are flying at Vicarage Road, with their home record of five wins and a draw bettered only by Leeds United and Sunderland on goal difference.

U’s midfielder Rodrigues said: “We go there to win. We’re in high spirits, and I think we are as driven and as confident as before.

“We’re in a good place and we can’t wait to get the game started.”

He added: “We know they have changed system as well. They started the season off 3-4-3 like we are now.

“They changed to a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, so they are unpredictable. We’re going to set up in ways that we can manage Plan A, Plan B, and see whatever they come with.

“In-game we have the experience to adapt to change and to notice it quickly. It makes it difficult because we have to adapt, but we’re experienced enough to do that.”
