Date and kick-off time confirmed for FA Cup trip to Exeter City

United will make the trip to the Grecians on Saturday, January 11, with kick-off at 3pm, confirming that the clash has not been chosen for TV broadcast.

Details will be announced tomorrow regarding when tickets will be released, with the U’s handed 900 terrace standing tickets and 168 seating tickets.

United will have fond memories of their last trip to St James Park, as the 2-1 victory there on the last day of the 2023/24 season ensured a Sky Bet League One play-off place.

Mark Harris and a Cameron Brannagan penalty provided the U’s a 2-0 lead at half-time, before Millenic Alli netted seven minutes into the second period to ensure some nervy moments for United.

Last season, the U’s recorded 2-0 wins at home against Maidenhead United and Grimsby Town before falling to a 6-2 defeat at Coventry City in the third round.

United haven’t reached the fourth round since the 2019/20 campaign, when Karl Robinson’s team held Premier League side Newcastle United to a goalless draw at St James’ Park, prior to a heartbreaking 3-2 loss in extra time in the replay, as Allan Saint-Maximin netted four minutes before penalties.
