The Kimmeridge in Botley on Westminster Way is said to be the city’s first build-to-rent development.
The development from residential property business Grainger plc will offer a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments.
These will be spread across eight-storeys and offers more than 2,000sqft of sociable and shared amenity spaces, including a large outdoor roof terrace.

Grainger plc says the development will celebrate Botley’s “rich history”, offering residents “extensive” amenities on the first two floors.
These include a fully equipped gym, residents’ lounge with a dining room and kitchenette, and a co-working space with meeting pods and a private hire meeting room.
There will also be a Resident Services Team to assist residents, car parking spaces, a cycle store and seven commercial retail units.
The pavement has been extended outside the building which is opposite the Co-op store. The path was blocked off for months while builders continued to work on the site.
One man living in Botley near the development, who asked not to be named, said he was impressed with how the facility is shaping up.
He added: “The Premier Inn has dominated the landscape from the A34 for so long but this is an eye-catching facility to go alongside it as part of the ever changing face of Botley and West Way.
“There has been an element of intrigue attached to who is behind this structure but it is interesting to see it is now really starting to take shape.
“New housing is always at a premium so hopefully this can cater for young people looking to move into affordable accommodation.”
Helen Gordon, chief executive at Grainger plc said: “This is a landmark development for Grainger and for Oxford and marks a milestone moment in the city’s rental market.

“Inspired by the natural surroundings of Botley, this project combines thoughtful design with modern amenities to create an exceptional living experience for our residents.
“Our dedicated onsite Resident Services team are looking forward to welcoming our first residents in the new year.”
According to Grainger plc, as part of the wider community the development aims to contribute to Oxford’s economic growth by supporting local businesses and enhancing the area’s overall infrastructure.
