Newly contracted Cifuentes after ‘brave’ defeatpublished at 22:39 British Summer Time
QPR 1-3 Hull City
QPR boss Marti Cifuentes speaking to BBC Radio London:
“We started the game at a high level, very brave on the ball. I think in the first 10 minutes we could have had two or three goals.
“In football you need to score your chances and perhaps the first opportunity they got, from the set play we concede a goal that we should defend much better.
“In the last third we need to be more clinical. It was a very good game for us until minute 70, despite conceding two goals, when they score the third one it’s very difficult for us.
“We made a lot of chances, much more than them, but as we became more desperate they started to create more chances.
“It was something that pleased me but the reality is we need to score more goals.”
On signing a new contract with QPR: “I think the club believes in what we’re trying to do, to develop young players and play in an attacking way and hopefully we’re going to get better and get the results that we want on the pitch once again.
“The supporters have been amazing and the players are all in so I appreciate the support from the owners.”
