Eleonora Svanberg studied physics on the Bachelor’s programme. She was also Fysikum’s student ambassador and communicated on our social media. She has since completed her Master’s degree at Cambridge and will now do her PhD at Oxford. In between, she has received several awards and honours and has written a book.

Eleonora Svanberg has just published the book Study with me: How to build mathematical self-confidence (Fri Tanke). In this interview, recorded at the Göteborg Book Fair, she talks about how to overcome doubts about your own mathematical ability, how she became a PhD student in physics at Oxford University and how she uses social media to inspire others. The conversation also covered everything from gender roles in science to prime numbers and black holes.
