The Hoops found themselves two goals up inside half an hour, thanks to Andre Burley and Corie Andrews, but it all fell apart in the second period, as Mike Calveley pulled one back, while Andrews was shown a second yellow card, before Craig Hewitt levelled matters.

Burley gave the Hoops a fourth-minute lead when he finished after Andrews had chased down and pressured visiting goalkeeper Matt Urwin into an error.

New Hoops goalkeeper Rylee Mitchell, on loan from Stevenage, made a couple of saves prior to Andrews doubling the advantage just before half an hour had been played when he drilled in from close range.

Chorley hit the crossbar shortly before the hour mark, with the follow-up smothered on the line, however Calveley struck a low drive which beat Mitchell.

With 16 minutes to go, the Hoops were reduced to 10 men when Andrews was deemed to have taken too long to leave the pitch while being substituted, and was shown a second yellow card.

Three minutes later, the Hoops were punished, as Chorley created a chance for former Banbury United forward Hewitt, who thumped the ball past Mitchell.

The Stevenage loanee then ensured the Hoops kept hold of their point with another save late on.
