Rob Edwards confirmed that the Town will be without Tahith Chong for Tuesday’s game against Oxford United at Kenilworth Road.
The midfielder will not be available after he required treatment on a knock to the head in the closing stages of the first half in Friday’s defeat at Plymouth and was substituted at half-time.
Another player withdrawn through injury at Home Park, Mads Andersen, will also not feature against Oxford after the centre-half sustained a slight muscle strain.
Defender Teden Mengi, meanwhile, could be involved on Tuesday night with the knee injury picked up against Argyle not as bad as first feared.
Carlton Morris sat out the game in the south-west with a muscle strain and the striker is unlikely to be risked against Oxford despite being back on the grass and making progress.
Daiki Hashioka and Shandon Baptiste took part in sections of training but Tuesday’s game comes too soon for the pair.
