UNITED RUN DEPT.
A running club by Oxford United
Oxford United are excited to announce the launch of United Run Dept., the Club’s first-ever running club.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out on your fitness journey, United Run Dept. will bring supporters and the wider community together for monthly runs and socialising, offering advice, motivation, and a fun environment to help you achieve your goals.
Members of United Run Dept. will be joined by well-known names and staff from within some of the Club’s current departments, including Sports Science, Medical, Recruitment, the Men’s & Women’s First Teams, and many more.
We’re also delighted to confirm Missing Bean Coffee Roasters, Oxford’s leading independent specialist coffee roaster, as United Run Dept.’s Headline Partner. Thanks to their support, we’ll be hosting runs in and around the city, starting and ending at some of the best cafes in Oxford for post-run coffee, refreshments, and special guest appearances. It’s an unmissable opportunity to level up your fitness and to find out more about how the departments across Oxford United operate.
Join us for our monthly running events, designed to bring people together and celebrate the power of fitness and wellbeing. Whether you want to improve your times or simply enjoy the run whilst connecting with others, United Run Dept. is the place for you!

MISSING BEAN COFFEE ROASTERS
Missing Bean were the first to bring speciality coffee to Oxford when they opened their original Café back in 2009, and also became the City’s first coffee roasters when they began roasting in 2014. Since then, they have fuelled not only local Oxford residents, but the whole county with new Cafés popping up in Abingdon, Banbury, Botley & Woodstock (with more on the way!). As well as this they have a wholesale base across the UK and a busy online shop allowing their beans to be enjoyed at home.
Direct-trade coffee is at the heart of everything Missing Bean do, and allows them to share ethically sourced, sustainably grown beans with the masses. It’s these direct relationships with the farms, the farmers and their families, which set Missing Bean apart and is also evident in the way they work alongside suppliers and customers here in the UK too.
Ori Halup, founder and director of Missing Bean, shares his thoughts on this latest relationship with United Run Dept.
“We’re honoured to have been selected to partner with Oxford United’s running club and are excited by this fresh opportunity that connects both brands incredibly well. To see and feel the passion that the Club have in engaging with the local community and charities is inspirational and something we also feel strongly about. We hope combining two like-minded, local brands, for a new and exciting project in United Run Dept. will lead to great, impactful, and fun things!”
Luke Dick, Senior Marketing Manager at Oxford United, said: “We’re thrilled to announce Missing Bean as the inaugural partner of United Run Dept. The creation of Oxford United’s first-ever running club has been in the works for several months, and we’re excited to unite the football and running communities. This initiative will provide a unique opportunity for participants to connect, socialise, and support each other’s physical and mental wellbeing at our monthly events.”
