A two-vehicle crash in Oxford County claimed the life of a London resident Thursday night.
Members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were called to the intersection of Pigram Road and Salford Road in South-West Oxford Township, east of London, at around 6:45 p.m. It was determined that the two vehicles had collided on Pigram Road, police said.
A 48-year-old was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but was later pronounced dead. A second person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Roads were closed at Pigram Road and Salford Road, as well as Cromarty Drive and Pigram Road, and have since reopened.
West Region OPP officers are investigating and appealing to the public for any information.
