Oxford Business College’s second National Conference, held in London. saw its staff members and academic guests gather at Heathrow Marriott for discussions centred on the college’s approach to education.
The conference began with Salman Haq, head of marketing, introducing the theme of ‘Empowering the Future.’
Dr Padmesh Gupta, managing director of Oxford Business College, celebrated the college’s 40th year.
Professor Sarwar Khawaja, chairman of the Strategic Board, announced 60 per cent of the profits will support philanthropic initiatives and welfare efforts, particularly focusing on early medical diagnostics research and related practical measures.
Also speaking was Ronel Lehmann, founder of Finito, discussing the role of supporting graduates in securing employment.
A series of presentations touched on areas including regulation, academic standards, course design, delivery, student support, and empowerment.
Prof Emmanuel Idowu and Stuart Coussins, head of compliance at Oxford Business College, held a session on the importance of UK regulatory bodies and the college’s aspirations for greater academic autonomy.
Dr Samuel Asante-Nnuro, dean of the college’s London campus, and Tim Mitchell, head of HR, highlighted the college’s approach to course design, delivery, and staffing.
Meanwhile, the importance of student voice and cultural diversity was underscored by Diana Munoz, student events and engagement coordinator, and Sandra Naktiniene, national president of the Oxford Business College Student Council.
