The Start-up Huddle, organised by the Business and IP Centre and held in the library at the Westgate centre, regularly sees more than 100 participants.
It brings together entrepreneurs from across Oxford, and has been running for the past 30 months.
The event has attracted international interest, with people flying in from the US and Portugal to take part.
It features presentations from one or two local Oxford entrepreneurs, questions and answers, and networking,
Participants are encouraged to support each other with their local links, knowledge, and insights.
The huddle has seen the creation of a range of ventures, from drone companies to community interest companies supporting young people at risk.
The Oxford Business and IP Centre, part of a national network of centres initiated by The British Library, is one of the newest at two-years-old.
As well as the Start-up Huddle, it hosts regular events ranging from Women in Business to market research and cyber security community.
The centre is also noted for its youth engagement, having won a national award, and its digital marketing suite, used for podcasting, photography, and videography.
The Start-up Huddle takes place on the third Thursday of each month from 6pm to 8pm, with the next event scheduled for December 19.
