Dar es Salaam. Tanzanian entrepreneur Diana Laizer has been awarded an honorary doctorate in Business and Entrepreneurship by the prestigious Oxford Club Awards in London, United Kingdom. The recognition celebrates her significant contributions to society through the Africa Consumer Choice Awards, a platform she founded and leads as Chief Executive Officer.

The Consumer Choice Awards, renowned for promoting excellence in service delivery, have been instrumental in improving the quality of products and services in Tanzania and beyond. Diana’s leadership has not only inspired young people to create employment opportunities but has also highlighted the transformative role of entrepreneurship in fostering economic growth.

Speaking to The Citizen, Diana expressed her gratitude, attributing the honour to her six years of dedication to the awards, which aim to enhance competition and quality in service provision. “This recognition stems from my contribution over the years, showing that young people can create their own jobs and employ others,” she said.

The awards have opened doors to new investment opportunities, fostering collaborations with both government and private institutions while benefiting consumers in areas such as transportation and healthcare.
