The club have yet to recover after relegation from the National League, and have lost four of their first seven matches.

The latest of those came last night after they went down 3-1 at home to Peterborough Sports.

Sam Cox’s side didn’t get a kick-back from their brilliant 6-0 FA Cup win over Willand Rovers and remain bottom of the table after a tough start to life in the National League North.

Midfielder Fleet says the players must come up with some answers – starting when fellow strugglers Needham Market visit on Saturday.

“We need to take a look at ourselves as a unit and as individuals – it just wasn’t good enough,” he said following the midweek defeat.

“As players we need to take responsibility for this, we’re conceding goals at bad times. We need to do more.

“We’ve got a good group of lads who will do everything they can to put it right. There were some positives, like the way we reacted in the second half, but we need to play for 90 minutes.

“We’ve got to put these results right and we’ve got to be ready for Saturday,” he told the club’s YouTube channel.

“It’s important not to overreact, but it’s also important to learn from these mistakes. We’ve got to go in on the front foot this weekend and get three points.”
