The incident occurred at around noon today (Thursday, October 17) as a man was standing on the central reservation on the A414 by Horspath Driftway.
In a statement issued by the force, Thames Valley Police revealed the matter was resolved.
A police spokesperson said: “We received reports of a concern for safety on the A414, by Horspath Driftway, Oxford, today (17/10) at around 12.04pm.

“A man was reported to be standing in the A414 central reservation.
