Oxford United will be looking to bounce back from successive defeats when the U’s travel to Coventry in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

Oxford lost at Coventry in the league before defeat at Blackburn last time out. However, they won their first-round tie 2-0 against Peterborough.

The Sky Blues beat the U’s but were held at Liam Manning’s Bristol City at the weekend. However, they beat the Robins in the first round of the cup.

Elliott Moore is an injury doubt for Oxford after missing the trip to Ewood Park while Przemyslaw Placheta was forced off with an injury. Cameron Brannagan should be available after missing the defeat at Blackburn due to illness.

Des Buckingham made eight changes for the first round while Mark Robins made nine for his side’s victory at Ashton Gate. Therefore, it’s likely both managers will make changes for this fixture.

The Sky Blues are unbeaten in their last three meetings against Oxford, winning the most recent two at the Ricoh Arena.
