Oxford United will be looking to bounce back from three successive defeats when the U’s welcome Preston.
Des Buckingham’s side lost at Coventry and Blackburn in the league before another defeat at the Ricoh Arena in the Carabao Cup.
Preston began the season with league defeats against Sheffield United and Swansea but picked up a win against Luton in their first game under new manager, Paul Heckingbottom. North End are also through to the third round of the Carabao Cup following victories over Sunderland and Harrogate.
There could be a return from injury for captain Elliott Moore, although winger Przemyslaw Placheta is still absent.
Deadline day is today so there’s still the chance that both teams could see some arrivals and departures ahead of tomorrow’s clash.
These two sides haven’t met since the turn of the millennium when Preston did the league double over the U’s. However, Oxford were unbeaten in their previous six, winning five.
Predicted line-up: Jamie Cumming, Joe Bennett, Ciaron Brown, Elliott Moore, Sam Long, Will Vaulks, Cameron Brannagan, Ruben Rodrigues, Tyler Goodrham, Matt Phillips, Mark Harris.
Prediction: Oxford United 1-0 Preston North End
