It was a frustrating evening at Loftus Road with the U’s on top for large parts but conceding two preventable goals in West London.
As for Wednesday, they lost at home against Blackburn on Tuesday night but that was a first loss in four since defeat at Bramall Lane last month.
During that run, Danny Röhl’s side have picked up wins at Hull and Derby respectively, with that Blades defeat the only one in six on the road. In addition, the Owls have won four and drawn one of their nine away games in the Championship this season.
Kyle Edwards and Peter Kioso both made a return for Oxford at QPR but the U’s are still without Siriki Dembele and Louie Sibley, while Sam Long will miss the game due to concussion protocol.
Wednesday will be without Olaf Kobacki, Akin Famewo and Callum Paterson for the trip to Grenoble Road.
The last two meetings between these sides have ended in a draw but the U’s are unbeaten in the last four, winning the previous two. Wednesday are without a win on their last four visits to Oxford.
Predicted line-up: Jamie Cumming, Greg Leigh, Ciaron Brown, Elliott Moore, Hidde ter Avest, Cameron Brannagan, Idris El Mizouni, Ruben Rodrigues, Tyler Goodrham, Kyle Edwards, Dane Scarlett.
