THIRTEEN men charged after scenes of violence before football match

The men have been charged in connection with violent disorder before a clash between the Yellows and Reading on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.

Adam Hart, a 27-year-old from Van Diemans Lane in Oxford, was charged while so were others from around the county.

Three men from Bicester were also charged including 56-year-old Colin Whiteley of Church Road, 22-year-old Kyle Smith of Merganser Drive and 49-year-old Nicholas Smith of Merganser Drive.

35-year-old Craig Green of Heather Close in Carterton, 49-year-old Mark Tyler of Fisher Close in Banbury and 35-year-old Ryan Ellaway of Fitzwaryn Place in Wantage were also listed.

Two men from Abingdon, 34-year-old Ashton Hastie of Henry Avery Avenue and 25-year-old Dominic Gurden of Ashmole Road were charged.

Reece Boyle, a 32-year-old man of Priest Close in Henley-on-Thames was also identified by officers.

Outside of Oxfordshire, two men from Reading, 34-year-old Matthew Hinge of Weaver Avenue and 33-year-old Daniel Taylor of Lower Armour Road, were also named by the police on the list.

Richard Stancombe, a 55-year-old of Fox Drive in Yateley, Hampshire was also charged.

A spokesperson from Thames Valley Police said: “All were each charged via postal requisition between Friday, September 6 and Monday, September 9 with one count of violent disorder.

“The charges are in connection with an incident which occurred in St Marys Butts on 12 December last year.”

All 13 men are due to appear at Slough Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 29.
