The 20-year-old Oxford United defender joined the Shrimpers on a short-term loan on Friday, and was registered in time to make his debut in an FA Trophy thriller.
Golding was introduced with 12 minutes to go in the third round tie at Brentwood Town, and the score at 4-2 to the Shrimpers.
The sides exchanged another goal apiece in stoppage time, to ensure the tie finished 5-3 to the Shrimpers.

Golding has enjoyed previous loan spells at Banbury United, Dartford and Maidenhead United.
He scored two goals in eight games for the latter during a loan stint earlier this season, but he was recalled by the U’s last month to provide defensive cover on the bench away at Watford in Sky Bet Championship.
Golding told the Shrimpers website after signing: “I’m really excited to be here and can’t wait to get going. I just want to help the team as best I can and pick up as many points as possible.
“It’s a great opportunity for me and when I first heard about the interest, I knew straight away that I wanted to come here and play at Roots Hall in front of the fans.”
Golding, who joins a Shrimpers side sitting 14th in the Vanarama National League table, has played nine times for the United first team, last doing so in January.
He played the first 45 minutes as the U’s lost 2-0 at AFC Wimbledon in the last 16 of the EFL Trophy.
